Christianity is the worlds biggest religion with about 2.1 billion followers, called Christians. Christians worship Jesus Christ, the son of God, who lived in the holy lands about 2,000 years ago. Christians worship in churches and believe there is is only one god but three elements to this god, God the father, God the son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the holy land and died on the cross for our sins. When worshiping, Christians worship in a church and pray to help them them create a better personal relationship with God. They also read from the Holy Bible which contains New and Old testaments which talk about Jesus' life and his disciples.{Disciples are followers of Jesus who teach us how to live as a christian}.

Who is Jesus Christ?
Around two thousand years after Abraham lived the land of Judea was ruled by Rome. Many Jews hoped that a Messaih would come and free them. Well according to the scriptures, Mary, a Jewish woman was told that she was going give birth to a messiah and that her baby would be named Jesus. Mary did give birth to Jesus in Bethlehem and we are not for sure but we think that Jesus was born on December 25th which is known as Christmas. Jesus was raised in the religion of Judaism and taught and spread the word a his father God. Jesus told many people about Gods great love for them and about how god thought everyone was equal. Jesus comforted the sad, he made friends with the people who had no friends, he healed the sick. People soon began to love Jesus and they gathered in crowds to hear him teach, followed him around and they sang his praises in the streets. Everyone was soon praising him and worshiping him, this worried the Jewish leaders, Jesus was claiming to be the king of Jews. As punishment for this, Jesus was sentenced to be crucified or hung on the cross. Jesus died in Jerusulem, and was buried in a tomb. Three days after his death, several woman went to visit his tomb and they discovered that Jesus was missing. An angel appeared before them and said "He is Risen!" that meant that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead by God. Not long after Jesus' resurrection the word had spread that people had seen him on the roadside, at the shore of Judaea and that he spoke to them at a mountain top. Jesus told his followers at the mountain top that God's spirit would soon visit them and give them the power to spread his teachings. Fifty days after the Resurection, people from all around the land came to Jeruselum for a religious festival, during the festival a rushing wind came and then suddenly the Holy spirit entered them and everyone began speaking in different languages. All of Jesus' followers could speak to the other visitors and tell them about Jesus and Jesus' love for them. This event was called the Pentecost and after this event Jesus' followers were filled with great knowledge and wisdom. Many of Jesus' first followers wrote about him. Christianity was so well connected with Judaism that Those writings were added to the Jewish bible and Christians called the Tanach the Old testament and the Christian writings were called the New Testament.
Christianity In our World Today
Christians still teach that there is only one true all powerful god. When people hear about Jesus they find hope and comfort and continue to spread the word about Jesus. Christians still continue to celebrate the holiday of Easter which commemorates Jesus' resurrection. This is the most important Christian holiday because it Is the victory of life over death. Christians also celebrate the holiday of Christmas which commemorates the birth of Jesus In Bethlehem. Christians also remember the day when Jesus was crucified on Good Friday where Christians attend extra long services and grieve over Jesus' death. On every Sunday Christians go to church where a Protestant Minister or Catholic priest teaches about Jesus Christ and his life and give's Bible teachings. And almost every Christian recites the Lord's prayer. No matter what domination, or how that domination worships Jesus, every Christian believes in the one, all powerful, Jesus Christ.
The lords prayer. some Christians don't say the last three lines.
